General Instructions for Installing a Copper Awning:

• Use clean, protective gloves when handling and installing copper awnings.
• Lay out dimensions of awning on wall.  If possible, find studs and mark where they are.  You may want to temporarily nail a 2” x 4” board to the wall where the bottom of the awning will be positioned for support during installation.
• Drill as many holes as you can in the support flange around the outside of the awning to match where the studs are.  Then, drill more holes uniformly around the flange (6” to 8” apart) on both sides and the top.  Use at least 1 ¼” long plated wood screws or sheet rock screws.  You may want to use a clear caulking around the top and sides.  Be sure to level the 2” x 4” support board.
